L’Approche Neurolinguistique (ANL) est un nouveau paradigme pour l’enseignement et l’apprentissage d’une langue seconde ou étrangère en milieu institutionnel.

Cette approche a été conçue par Claude Germain (professeur émérite à l’UQAM et l’Université Normale de Chine du Sud) et Joan Netten (professeure de recherche honoraire au Memorial University of Newfoundland; Ordre du Canada pour sa contribution au développement du bilinguisme au Canada), dans le contexte de l’influence émergente des neurosciences cognitives en éducation.

The Neurolinguistic Approach (NLA) for second or foreign languages is a new paradigm for teaching ESL/FSL communication skills in an institutional setting.

This new approach was developed by Joan Netten (honorary research professor at Memorial University of Newfoundland; Canada Order for her work promoting and improving French education in Canada) and Claude Germain (Emeritus Professor at UQÀM and South China Normal University) in the context of the growing influence of cognitive neuroscience on education.

Cet événement en présentiel et en ligne marquera la clôture du stage de formation initiale à l’Approche Neurolinguistique qui s’est tenue à Québec du 3 au 8 mai 2021.

Durant cette rencontre, 4 experts en ANL répondront aux questions des stagiaires puis aux vôtre sur l’approche, sa mise en œuvre et les enjeux pédagogiques relatifs à l’enseignement des langues secondes/étrangères.

Les intervenants :

• Mme Joan Netten, C.M., Ph.D., diplômée de quatre universités (McGill et l’UQAM, Saskatchewan et Toronto) est co-fondatrice, avec M. Claude Germain (professeur à l’UQAM), de l’Approche Neurolinguistique d’enseignement des langues secondes/étrangères. Elle reçu la médaille de l’Ordre du Canada ainsi que les jubilés d’or et de diamant de la part de la reine Elizabeth II pour sa contribution au développement du bilinguisme au Canada.

• David Macfarlane, qui répondra aux questions, ancien conseiller pédagogique au ministère de l’Éducation du Nouveau-Brunswick, est l’un des pionniers de l’ANL ; moteur dans le développement du Français Intensif au Canada, il a formé de très nombreux enseignants à l’ANL ; il est également auteur de livres dédiés à l’enseignement selon cette approche chez Myosotis Presse.

• Steeve Mercier, Ph. D., qui animera la table ronde, est Directeur scientifique du CiFRAN, conseiller pédagogique expert et formateur ANL ; chargé de cours en linguistique, didactique d’une L1/L2, rédaction professionnelle, français langue seconde et anglais langue seconde à l’Université Laval et à l’Université du Québec à Rimouski ; professeur de francisation des immigrants pour le Ministère de l’Immigration, de la Francisation et de l’Intégration du Québec

• Olivier Massé , Ing. Form., qui répondra aux questions, est Directeur des formations du CiFRAN, conseiller pédagogique consultant en France et formateur ANL ; auteur de manuels de FLÉ et directeur de collection chez Myosotis Presse ; directeur du centre de langue La Ferme Linguistique.

Online meeting

This face-to-face and online event will mark the end of the Neurolinguistic Approach initial training course held in Quebec City from May 3 to 8, 2021.

During this meeting, 4 NLA experts will answer questions from the trainees and then to yourselves on the approach, its implementation and the pedagogical issues related to second/foreign language teaching.

The speakers :

• Dr. Joan Netten, C.M., Ph.D., a graduate of four universities (McGill and UQAM, Saskatchewan and Toronto) is co-founder, with Dr. Claude Germain (professor at UQAM), of the Neurolinguistic Approach to Second/Foreign Language Education. She has been awarded the Order of Canada and the Gold and Diamond Jubilee by Queen Elizabeth II for her contribution to the development of bilingualism in Canada.

• David Macfarlane, who will answer the questions, is a former pedagogical advisor in New Brunswick and one of the pioneers of NLA; a driving force in the development of Intensive French in Canada, he has trained many teachers in NLA; he is also the author of books dedicated to teaching according to this approach, published by Myosotis Presse.

• Dr. Steeve Mercier, who will moderate the round table, is Scientific Director of CiFRAN, expert pedagogical advisor and ANL trainer; lecturer in linguistics, L1/L2 didactics, professional writing, French as a second language and English as a second language at Université Laval and Université du Québec à Rimouski; professor of francization of immigrants for the Ministère de l’Immigration, de la Francisation et de l’Intégration du Québec

• Olivier Massé , Ing. Form, who will answer the questions, is Director of training at CiFRAN, a pedagogical consultant in France and an NLA trainer; author of FSL manuals and director of the collection at Myosotis Presse; director of the language centre La Ferme Linguistique.
